This page will be didcated to any recordings that I make or have made in the past. As I dig up and convert more old tapes and such this page will expand but for now I'll just put up a few things I've managed to find. There is waaay more than just these few but you gotta start somewhere

The Early Years:

These are probably a few of my earliest recordings which would be around 1998. This was done on an old Karaoke machine in my basement on cassette tapes. I'm the only one on the tracks. To get an extra gutair or drums I just overdubbed on the tape so you can imagine the quality is pretty rough especially with the tape "hiss"... but it sure was a lot of fun.

Enter Sandman

Yes, Metallica's Enter Sandman. Anyone who learned to play guitar after 1991 can play this song, basically my generation's Stairway to Heaven. Here it is, well most of it, with 2 overdubbed guitars and drums. Sorry I didn't sing in the 90's

The Prince

This is a song by a band most people never heard of called Diamond Head. Honestly the only reason I heard of it was because Metallica covered it. This is just a jam on the main riff during the breakdown. Once again 2 dubbed guitars and drums

To Live Is To Die

Ok, so I played alot of Metallica. This one is two guitars only, one clean one overdrive, again just an excerpt

The Later Years:

About 10 years later in late 2007 I got board and took an acoustic guitar and a little digital recroder into a quiet room to try and just record a few songs I knew how to play. Still not the greatest quality but night and day compared to the old cassette tapes.

Sleep

This is from a band called Savatage whose members now make up most of the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Every now and then they bust out old Savatage songs so this may be familiar to some. Either way Savatage was a great band, this is a great song, and it will always bring back memories.

St. James Infirmary

I heard this song covered by a group once called the Tarbox Ramblers. I didn't remember the name at first so it took me years to find it but I finally did and I'm glad I did. This is probably my favorite song to play. A good old blues dirge. I have yet to be able to track down who originally wrote or performed the song, but I can say that it's been performed for years and years in many forms.

Begin

A song that's close to my heart. Originally written and performed by Toad the Wet Sprocket. I had performed this song in memory of a dear friend, Sajjad Hassan, who passed away from cancer earlier that year. I still think of him everytime I play it.

The Latest Years

Anything else I come up with will go here I suppose. During the dark ages of my life (Medical Residency), I didn't play much guitar but now I think it's time for a renaissance. Here's what I got.

Glycerine

An old favorite I suppose you never get tired of. I think the recorder makes the guitar sound tinny (yes tinny not tiny), in retrospect I should have mic'd the speaker cabinet but hind sight is 20/20 as they say. Next time.
