My Ford Escort

Here is my tribute to "old reliable", my 1998 Ford Escort SE. The car has been in the family since it was bought new in 1998. This is my daily driver and has been for the past few years. There's nothing extraordinarily special about it. It's your run of the mill 4 door, automatic sedan. The 2.0L 4 cylinder engine has run nice and strong for over 87,000 miles now without any problems and I'm hoping it stays that way.

To add a little bit of personality to the car my good friend Greg and I decided to put a custom stereo system in the car. Once again with Greg's fiberglassing expertise we made a custom subwoofer enclosure to fit in one of the crevices in the trunk. This fit one of the 800 watt 12" Farenheit subs that I originally had in the Camaro. I also reused 820 watt Power Acoustik neon lighted amp and screwed it into the back seat. To complete it all I installed a Kenwood MP3 player using a custom dash kit to replace the factory raido and cassette deck. The car is alot more fun to drive now as you can imagine. You can see pictures of this here on Greg's site for now.
